Believe it or not, this is Floppy (sounds more like Floopy with the French accent), the family's "guard dog." Not very ferocious, but he can bark up a storm when needed. He is a cute little guy, and he absolutely craves attention. He is treated pretty well, and while he often stays on the roof or in the garage, he is allowed inside sometimes. This is quite unusual amongst the Senegalese, where cats and dogs usually are not considered pets and mostly live on the streets. (It's quite sad, actually, to seem them running around outside with no one to care for them). Anyhow, my family here actually likes pets, and this one is quite a character!!
