Later that day, we took a horse cart tour of the Savannah and visited a few small villages in the area. Unlike much of Senegal, which is Muslim, this area was occupied by the Sereer group, which is predominantly Christian, and we were really surprised to see a pig and some piglets walking around outside- the first pigs I've seen in the 2 months I've been here!
