Here is a picture of one of the men dressed up for the Carnival in Grand Yoff. It was a colourful and intricate costume, and I think perhaps he was supposed to be a lion because he kept pretending to bite people!! Later he and others dressed similarly gave a dance performance while another group of men accompanied them on the drums. It was really quite a show!!

What a totally awesome photo Kate! Too bad I couldn't be there, I was soaking up the sun on the beaches of Casamance =) Still, it looks like it was a great time!!
